  • The Army has launched an investigation after a member of its Golden Knights parachute team died from injuries he sustained during a training jump. Army officials identified the parachutist as Sgt. 1st Class Michael Ty Kettenhofen, who joined the U.S. Army Golden Knights in 2020. He had jumped more than 1,000 times with the Army.

  • Officials are monitoring the clean-up of a leak of 400,000 gallons (1.5m litres) of radioactive water from a local nuclear power plant in Minnesota. Xcel Energy, the utility company that runs the plant, said the spillage was "fully contained on-site and has not been detected beyond the facility".

  • Thousands of people are believed to have lost their savings after investing in a cryptocurrency trading app called iEarn Bot. Experts who have investigated the company say it could be one of the largest crypto scandals to date.
